Oats Salad Recipe | How to make Healthy Oats vegetable Salad to lose Weight
Vegetable salads are in itself very healthy and useful for weight loss. But if you mix them up with cooked broken or steel Cut Oats you will have a salad that is appetising, superbly healthy and filling. An ideal lunch or dinner meal to lose weight. Ingredients to make healthy Oats salad for weight loss:- 1/4 Cup Broken/ steel Cut Oats 1 Sliced Onion 1 sliced tomato 5-6 green beans 1 Sliced carrot 1 Sliced Capsicum 1/2 sliced Cucumber 1/2 Cup Pomegranate 5-6 chopped almonds 2-3 garlic cloves 2 tsp lemon juice 1 tsp vinegar Salt to taste 1 tsp flaxseed powder 1 tsp Mixed Spices 2 tsp olive oil 1.5 tsp Cumin seeds Method to make steel Cut Oats salad to lose Weight:- Wash the broken Oats / steel Cut Oats in filtered water In a cooker/pan heat 3/4 tsp olive oil & add Cumin seeds once the seeds starts to crackle add washed Oats Slightly roast the oats than add water (for 1/4 cup Oats use 3/4 cup of water) add salt to taste Cook for 2-3 whistle ( in pressure cooker), in pan simmer for 15-18 minutes (You can Make in large batch & store these cooked oats for 2-3 days in fridge ) In a pan heat 1 tsp olive, add Cumin seeds than add chopped vegetables one by one Add salt to taste, add small amount of water & sautée the vegetables slightly on low heat In a bowl add slice Cucumber, sautéed vegetables & cooked broken Oats Add lemon juice, Flaxseeds powder, mixed spices, chopped almonds & vinegar Serve and consume in lunch or dinner
